Trynzic News – Meet 4 of Our Newest Sales Team Hires

It’s been a busy summer at Trynzic. Over the past few months, we’ve added some amazing people to the team. In this post, we’ll introduce four of our newest sales hires and give some background on what they’ll be doing.

It’s an exciting time. After years of research and development, we’re finally bringing our offering and our vision to market. And with that, we’ve been hiring a lot of amazing people to join our team.

Our CEO, Andrew Tokarz, said it best.

“Trynzic continues to pursue our focused mission of bringing IoT business capabilities to the utilities industry. Over the past four years, we have made significant research and development investments in our software platform, GridOps. Now we are growing our go-to-market capabilities by adding team members who are passionate about bringing transformational software technology to this important industry.”

Let’s meet these new team members!

Shaun Rogers, Regional Sales Director

Shaun comes to Trynzic with an impressive 15-year career in technology sales, with experience in numerous verticals, including fintech, construction, and utilities. He also founded his own sales and marketing firm.

With a running total of $30 million in closed deals, Shaun is a passionate sales evangelist in every sense of the word. He holds consecutive Presidents Club Awards and has won numerous company accolades throughout his career. Shaun holds a B.S. in Business Administration and Healthcare Management from Colorado State University.

In his new role at Trynzic, Shaun plays a major role in the go-to-market strategy of Trynzic’s flagship product, GridOps. His charge is always to educate the broader utilities industry about the awesome power of AMI data and how to leverage it with a platform like GridOps. Always moving forward, Shaun is resourceful in overcoming challenges and pursuing every opportunity to grow Trynzic’s brand.

When he’s not hard at work, Shaun, his wife Stefanie, and their two doodles are always outdoors or traveling the world. He loves to ski, surf, paddleboard, mountain bike, hike, fish, hunt, and golf.

April Dennis, Director of Inside Sales

April brings almost 20 years of sales and marketing experience to her new role at Trynzic.

Most recently, she served as marketing director for an IoT platform provider focused on the transportation, equipment rental, and oil & gas industries.

Before that, April worked as a business development manager for a national engineering firm specializing in utility distribution and renewable projects. April also managed many lead generation and marketing programs for a 300-seat contact center and, at one time, was a part of motorsports (NASCAR & dirt track) and airshow event management.

April is excited to get to work with the whip-smart team at Trynzic. She sees all the exciting possibilities that the future holds and is eager to help utilities supercharge their AMI data and optimize their workflows.

Away from work, April likes to travel, read, and listen to audiobooks. She also loves going to the lake with her family and planning for summer during the winter months.

Chris Ghiold, Regional Sales Director

Chris comes to Trynzic with 8 years of valuable experience in SaaS sales. He holds a B.S. in Business and Marketing Education from North Carolina State University.

As a Regional Sales Director, Chris will play an integral role in the go-to-market strategy of GridOps, helping spread awareness about this flexible platform.

He’s most excited about the opportunity to help utilities with some of their most pressing current and future challenges in their distribution grid. Regardless of where a utility is in its digital transformation, Chris knows that he can help them get more value out of their AMI data.

Jim Murray, Regional Sales Director

Jim has spent much of his career serving the electric utility industry. With 23 years in engineering roles (Director of Engineering and Member Services) at two electric cooperatives and fifteen years on the dark side of utility automation sales (Manager Technical Sales and Senior Sales Executive). He holds a B.S. in Electrical Power Technology from Bismarck State College.

He has a passion for utility automation projects helping customers become more efficient with their business processes. In his new role as a Regional Sales Director, Jim will put his experience and passion to work for Trynzic by helping to educate the utilities industry about the incredible untapped potential of the AMI data stream.

Jim is excited to help usher in a new era in the IoT and AMI space with a great product and a seasoned team of individuals.

When he’s not working hard for Trynzic, he likes to spend time at the lake. His favorite hobbies include hunting, fishing and all water activities with grandchildren, friends, and family.
